HONG KONG

For this shoot we headed to Sheung Wan. An old quirky typical HK neighbourhood. This area is super hilly, in between the skyscrapers you will find steep stairs to go to the next street. Little tip from us, Cat Street an old street where you will find little cluttered antique stores.

KAYU PUTIH

Kaya Putin is the name of the oldest Banyan tree in Bali. Located in the Tabanan region. It is huge in height and width and is magnificent. The tree is estimated to be 700 years old. The aerial roots keep the big and old tree anchored.

LEKE LEKE WATERFALL

Hidden deep in the jungle of Bali’s northern hills you find LEKE LEKE Waterfall. The serenity of the appearance clashes with the sound of water falling.

SAWAH

I still cannot wait everyday to but on my PJs at night. The sheer comfort of PJs. The TOKO team headed to a SAWAH, rice paddy in Indonesian, to resemble the peace nature brings.

KIMINI

It all started with one design, KIMINI. I remember walking into the big factory hall and one manufacturing line was reserved for TOKO. At the end of the line you could see the kiminis hanging, a moment I will never forgot.

PANTAI

Bali, where TOKO resides is synonymous with beaches and nature. Nature is strong here which allows to create and think.

learning by doing

Somehow it started with a mini kimono. I developed the first samples with my aunt, who used to be a tailor. And from thereon I couldn't let go and steadily worked towards getting KIMINI produced. Somehow my deep dream of designing emerged. A decision to make beautiful things and learn the next phase autodidactic.
